ALEXANDER COLLEGE

Alexander College has a long-standing history of educational excellence and this is owed, in no small part, to our established UK connections and collaborations with accredited UK Universities and awarding bodies. Initially, since its inception in 1991, Alexander was formed as an educational Institute in Larnaca with the main objective of offering vocational education to students wishing to enter the design and print industry. Our first cohort of students all graduated with Higher Diplomas awarded by the degree-awarding body, BTEC – a collaboration which continued successfully for a number of years. By the late 90s, the island saw many developments such as advancements in technology, rapid growth in overseas trade and employability and various social and political shifts. Thus, the development and expansion of the College also progressed. Our key focus was to introduce franchised Undergraduate, and later on, Postgraduate degree courses from UK Universities, eliminating the need for local students to leave Cyprus for a UK education and ultimately, a UK degree.
